Inking up a lino plate

Inking up a lino plate

Lino is often the first introduction to printmaking. Years ago, in art school, and while living in Toronto, I did a lot of printmaking. It was one of my favourite activities. Although relief printmaking can be done without a press, the results I got with a press I liked better. When I was no longer in school, or had access to a print studio, I stopped printmaking.  Recently I've begun to get back into printmaking. Beginning with linocut, moving onto etching and intaglio printing, as well as looking into how to do lithography.

The purchase of an old book press has rekindled my printmaking love, and I'k now off to the races.
